Queens Park is a traditional Victorian park in Heywood, Lancashire, England. It was opened on 2nd August 1879 and has become an award winning park based in the heart of Heywood.
Queens Park is a large park approximately 18 hectares. Famous for its bandstand, tennis courts, bowling greens, playgrounds and a boating lake.
Lakes, ditches and wonderful wildlife habitats attract birds such as kingfishers and herons as well as provide frogs, newts, fish and dragonflies a healthy habitat to thrive. The colourful flowers provide nectar for insects and the reeds and bulrushes provide shelter for nesting birds.
