Holbeach Nature Reserve

The Fishpond Lane Nature Reserve started life as brick pits in the late 18th Century and was adopted by the Parish Council in the 1960s.
Following its time as brick pits it was later turned into a swimming club in 1895. Since then the nature reserve has become a popular duck feeding spot for locals and visitors further afar.​ Earning its title of Lincolnshire's best fed wildfowl.



Lakes, ditches and wonderful wildlife habitats attract birds such as grey herons as well as provide frogs, newts, fish and dragonflies a healthy habitat to thrive. The colourful flowers provide nectar for insects and the reeds and bulrushes provide shelter for nesting birds.
