Mossley Dam
Location | Newtownabbey, UK
This unique 5.5 acre, brown trout fishery is set in the grounds of a restored nineteenth-century linen mill in Newtownabbey.
Mossley Mill, was a flax spinning mill in County Antrim which dates back to the early 1800s.

The original mill buildings have been sensitively conserved and the interiors adapted for modern day use whilst the mill dam is now an important habitat for a whole range of wildlife.
Lakes, ditches and wonderful wildlife habitats attract birds such as grey herons as well as provide frogs, newts, fish and dragonflies a healthy habitat to thrive. The colourful flowers provide nectar for insects and the reeds and bulrushes provide shelter for nesting birds.
